About Us
The Animal Kindness Foundation derived from an unwavering commitment to support and honor the lives of youth and our companion animals. Established in 2018, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions and a strong foundation of supporting our most vulnerable community members. The foundation formally started in 2018 when Governor Brian Sandoval signed our proclamation request to recognize and bring people's attention to the need to be kind to animals and be concerned about their welfare. On May, 1, 2019, Governor Sisolak signed our second Proclamation.
Annually, hereafter, we will recognize and celebrate "Animal Kindness and Welfare Awareness Week" during the first full week in May. We ask all to practice random and conscious acts of kindness towards others and animals each and every day.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take different approaches to fostering humanity and encouraging the greater good for all mindset. Animal Kindness Foundation emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support community safety and the welfare of our furry family members, by offering no-cost community outreach programs.
